Glistening Reflections

Lindeman Lake is reached by hiking for about 45 minutes. This particular day was very hot and humid, but I had not realized how much it would affect me until we started the hike. Sometimes it’s hard to remember how old you are because inside you always feel young. The hike was beautiful as always with the sound of water accompanying you as you start your hike. The towering trees do provide a bit of shade as your body heats up from the physical effort of the hike. I have travelled up this path many times before and as we reach the bridge I remember the log we used to walk on to reach the other side. My boys were little the first time we first set foot on this trail. That brief moment I caught a memory of years ago. The beauty of this place keeps us coming back as it has given us much joy over the years.
